What is a Whirlpool top load washer?

A Whirlpool top load washer is a type of washing machine for clothes. The name comes from the location of the door, which opens vertically from the top of the machine rather than horizontally from the front.

Whirlpool makes a number of different top load washing machines. As of March 2015, the Cabrio series is its primary line of top load washers. Cabrio models come in a range of capacity sizes from 3.8 to 5.3 cubic feet. They also have a range of optional features such as Active Spray, Clean Boost, a sanitary cycle, steam cleaning and precision dispensing of detergent.
