The CJ-2A was the first civilian jeep produced by Willys-Overland from 1945 through 1949. It was built for ranching, farming and industrial applications. The CJ-2A was modeled after the military MB that was used during World War II.
The CJ-2A had an L-134 Go-Devil engine with a T-90 three-speed manual transmission. It had many options, which included a center rear view mirror, rear seat, front passenger seat, canvas top and snow plow. The early CJ-2A jeeps were built with extra military parts that were leftover after the war, which included modified frames and engine blocks. Willys-Overland replaced the CJ-2A with the CJ-3A in 1949.
