Who was the winner of American Idol season 13?

Caleb Johnson won season 13 of "American Idol" on May 21, 2014. He performed "Dream On," "Maybe I'm Amazed" and "As Long As You Love Me" in the final performance episode. Jena Irene was the season's runner-up.

Johnson didn't land in the bottom three or bottom two during any of the elimination shows. Irene wasn't voted into the top 10 by viewers, but the judges chose her as one of the potential wild cards. She earned her spot in the top 13 and became the second wild card to advance to the finale.

The judges for season 13 were Keith Urban, Jennifer Lopez and Harry Connick, Jr. Ryan Seacrest hosted the show, and former judge Randy Jackson returned as a mentor.
