How are winners chosen for the Kids' Choice Awards?

Young fans of Nickelodeon choose the winners for the annual Kids' Choice Awards. As of 2015, fans can vote through the Web on the Nickelodeon website or with a mobile device.

Nickelodeon introduced the option to vote with an iPhone app or mobile browser in 2010. Text votes first became an option in 2007. Internet voting initially had problems with ballot stuffing until the Nickelodeon website started to allow only one vote per account. Before the Internet, voters mailed in their ballots or completed them at Pizza Hut locations. There was also an option to vote by calling a 900 telephone number. The first Kids' Choice Awards were held in 1988.
