Fox News and Dish Network reached a settlement in January 2015 that provides Fox with a larger per subscriber monthly rate and moves the Fox Business Channel to a lower-cost tier, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Specific contract details are not public, as of August 2015.
The agreement covers multiple years and bars these Fox channels from Dish-owned Sling TV. As noted in Variety, sources believe that the per subscriber monthly rate is at least $1.50.
Dish previously had carriage disagreements with Turner, home of CNN, and CBS. Dish and Fox had tangled in 2010 over arrangements to carry Fox's sports channels, which nearly resulted in the carrier losing the ability to broadcast Fox stations.
