The winner of the middleweight title fight in UFC 168 was Chris Weidman who beat Anderson Silva with a TKO decision. This was the second meeting between the two fighters, with Weidman winning the previous bout with a second round KO on Anderson Silva during UFC 162.

UFC 168 took place on Dec. 28, 2013 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The match was attended by approximately 15,650 spectators that resulted in a total gate earnings of just over 6.2 million dollars. Aside from the middleweight title fight, there were four other matches that was part of the main fight card, including a much-anticipated bout between Ronda Rousey and Miesha Tate.
