How do you write an underscore on an iPad?

To make an underscore when using default keyboard settings in iOS, simply hit the key labeled "#+=." Find the underscore key on the far left side of the keyboard.

1. Open the keyboard

   Open the keyboard by selecting a text entry box where you would like to type the underscore.

2. Open the additional symbols keyboard

   Once the keyboard is open, select the "#+=" key. This key is located on the left or right side of the keyboard and is gray.

3. Type the underscore

   The underscore key is located on the left side of the additional symbols keyboard. Once you are finished typing the underscore, simply select the key labeled "123" to return to the alpha-numerical keyboard.
