How do you write the value of the underlined digit?
By Forinfos - 04/01/2026 - 0 comments
The value of an underlined digit in a given number expresses how much that digit is worth. To determine the digit’s value, multiply it by its place value. The underlined figure tells how many sets of the place value there are in the number.
If seven is underlined in 751, seven must be multiplied to 100, since it is in the hundredth place. There are seven sets of hundreds in the number. Therefore, the value of seven in 751 is 700. In the same number, if one is underlined, the value is also one, since it represents only one set in the place of one.
