Where is Yale located?

Yale is located in New Haven, Connecticut. The school was founded in 1701, and in 1718 received the name of Yale College.

The Yale School of Medicine was established in 1810, and in 1822 the Divinity School was added. Two years later, the Law School took residence within the university.

The campus has greatly expanded over the years, and as of December, 2014, it covers about 310 acres in New Haven. The annual student body population is around 11,000. The school has an estimated faculty of around 3,200, and there are 260 buildings on the main campus.
