What years did Volkswagen make vans for North America?

Volkswagen made vans for North America from 1950 to 2003. The Volkswagen T4 Eurovan was the last van that was made for the U.S. market, and since its discontinuance Volkswagen has not released a new van in the North American market.

The Type 2 (T1), Type 2 (T2), T3 Vanagon, T4 Eurovan and their different variants were marketed for the North American market and enjoyed varying degree of success. The late 1990s saw a change in trend towards SUVs and consumer demand for vans diminished. Following consistent poor sales, Volkswagen finally withdrew vans from the North American market in 2003 and started focusing on niche markets.
