The zoo in Atlanta, Georgia is called Zoo Atlanta. It is located at 800 Cherokee Avenue near downtown Atlanta. Zoo Atlanta is home to more than 1500 animals.

As of September 2014, visiting hours for Zoo Atlanta are Monday to Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. until November 7, 2014. From November 8, 2014 to March 13, 2015, the zoo hours are 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily. Zoo Atlanta is only closed two days a year: Thanksgiving and Christmas. As of September 2014, admission rates are $21.99 for those 12 years of age and older and $16.99 for children ages 3 to 12.
