Katic is of Croatian Serb descent, born in Hamilton, Ontario. She married Kris Brkljac on April 25, 2015. She is fluent in numerous languages, including English, Italian, French, Croatian and Serbian.\nAlong with her “Castle” co-star Nathan Fillion, Katic has won the Favorite TV Couple award three years in a row, in 2011, 2012 and 2013, at the TV Guide Magazine's Fan Favorites Awards.
