According to the About section of her website, Ms. Boase graduated with a degree in textiles in 1991. She was a regular on BBC1's DIY show "Change That" in the 1990s and has collaborated on a number of hobby and decoration books. Her designs include textile-inspired wrapping paper, ribbon and party decorations as well as baby wear and art prints. She and her husband Russell have three children and live in Norfolk, England.
