Oromo is also the official working language in Oromiya. Around 6.2 percent of the country speaks Somali, the official working language of Sumale. Tigrayan, the official working language of Tigray, is spoken by 5.9 percent of the country, and Afar, the official working language in Afar, claims around 1.7 percent of the populations as speakers. Other languages spoken in Ethiopia include Hadiyya, Sidamo and Guragiegna; English and Arabic are common second languages. According to Ethnologue, many of Ethiopia's languages are endangered.
