What does RIDDOR mean?

The HSE explains that, with the exception of suicides, any work-related deaths or injuries must be reported. This includes deaths caused by accidents, as well as physical violence. Injuries include broken bones, amputations, serious burns and loss of consciousness. Several occupational diseases are included under RIDDOR, such as carpal tunnel syndrome, occupational asthma, dermatitis and tendonitis. Dangerous circumstances that must be recounted include fires, explosions, structural collapses and collisions.
