After being confined to a concentration camp during World War II, Victor Frankl wrote a book in which he discussed what he saw in the men who survived along with him. He observed that it wasn't the physically strongest men who survived, but the mentally strongest. His book suggests that this strength came through finding a way to maintain control over the environment around them. Obviously, they had to find small ways to do this. He posited that there were three ways to do this: creativity, authenticity and attitude. If one is struggling with finding meaning in life, it may help to take a..

Voluntary response sampling is heavily biased because it focuses on volunteered survey answers rather than a random sampling. What makes this biased is because the only people who volunteer are those who have a particular interest in the topic of the survey. For example, if the survey is about feelings surrounding a particular religion, only those who feel strongly about it volunteer. This means that the resulting samples have two extreme sides with few or no middle-of-the-road responses to mellow out the results. This results in a sample that is not representative of the population. The bias ..

During the olden days, people used the word "iniquity" to refer to unjust dealings with other people. Nowadays, the word "iniquity" refers to "a wicked act or thing; sin," according to Merriam-Webster dictionary. An example that clearly shows there is a difference between iniquity and sin is Psalm 38:18: "For I will declare mine iniquity; I will be sorry for my sin." Another example is part of Psalm 32:5, where David said, "the iniquity of my sin."
