A 2.75 Grade Point Average is between a B minus and B overall. Since a B minus is a 2.7 and a B is a 3.0 GPA, a 2.75 is much closer to a B minus.

GPA is a simple way to convert the total number of letter grades within a time frame to a single number that can be compared with other students' scores. Most schools use an unweighted scale with a top score of 4.0 for straight A's.
