The Ford Motor Company recalled the 2014 Ford Escape due to a problem with the fuel pump. This problem affected the driving of the vehicle by causing it to stall without warning or not start. Ford instructed its dealers to replace the fuel delivery module.
Ford determined the affected vehicles were built between April 15, 2014 to May 8, 2014. Additionally, these vehicles all were constructed at the company's Louisville Assembly Plant. This recall also affected 2015 Lincoln MKC built at the same plant between the April 21, 2014 to May 15, 2014. Approximately 12,505 Lincoln MKCs and Ford Escapes were part of the recall.
