What are AAA gift cards?

American Automobile Association gift cards are Visa gift cards, and the AAA details the terms on its website. They are usable at any retail location that accepts Visa cards as payment.

There is a fee to purchase the card, and customers can purchase and fund cards in amounts between $10 and $500, as the Texas AAA explains. MetaBank issues these gift cards, which are not usable at ATMs and are not redeemable for cash. The AAA also states that if there is no activity on a card for a 12-month period, the cardholder is charged a nominal account maintenance fee.
