Access Corrections is a service that allows friends and family to send funds to an inmate's account, states the official Access Corrections website. People can make deposits using Visa and MasterCard credit and debit cards.
Cash deposits can only be made at Access Secure Deposits lobby kiosk locations, states Access Corrections. Some states also accept money orders. The deposit limit for most inmates is $300 per day. Inmates receive money in their account after the transaction is complete.
Some inmates cannot receive funds, advises Access Corrections. This may be due to a request from the prison or because a card holder denied a previous transaction.
