How do you accurately level a mobile home yourself?

To level a mobile home, put on protective goggles and gloves, and remove the skirting as well as the tie-down straps. Place a 6-foot level on the beam at the center of the mobile home, working outwards.

Any beams that aren't level should be raised with a jack until the bubble in the level is in the middle area. It may be necessary to place a block of wood under the jack for support. Slide shims into the space between the beams and the support, using a hammer if needed. Recheck the level and adjust the shims as necessary. Replace the skirting and tie-down straps.
