How do you activate a SMART card?

As of 2015, a SMART Money Card is activated in the Philippines by dialing 15177 using a SMART cellphone, according to Smart.com.ph. The smart card can also be activated with a landline phone by calling the number 02-845-7777.

To reduce the possibility of fraud, the caller needs to verify his identity with a live agent, states Smart Communications. The caller must link his account to his SMART mobile number in order to enable mobile phone transactions.

Once the SMART Money Card has been activated, the customer is able to complete transactions through his card or their mobile phone, explains Smart.com.ph. Examples of the possible transactions are POS shopping and ATM withdrawals.
