Are there any actual images of baby Jesus?

There are no surviving images of Jesus as a child from the first century, when he was alive. The earliest depictions of Jesus as a child date from the third century.

There is a third-century sarcophagus cast in one of the Vatican museums that depicts the Magi bringing gifts to baby Jesus, held by his mother Mary. The earliest depiction of the Nativity occurs on the side of a sarcophagus in Milan dating from the fourth century. The lack of any illustrative record of Jesus before the third century is partly attributed to the influence of the Ten Commandments, in particular the rule that "thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image."
