How do you adopt a dog from the SPCA?

To adopt a dog from the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, you must first complete a short assessment upon arrival to determine what type of dog fits your lifestyle best. You then meet the dogs and cats and fill out an application before adoption is final.
Individuals wishing to adopt must be at least 21 years of age. The application process requires a photo ID, such as a driver's license or military ID, and one proof of current address, such as a telephone or utility bill. Personal references may be required. If an individual does not find a suitable animal to adopt upon visiting, his application remains active for three months.
