How do you adopt a pet from the Dallas SPCA?
By Forinfos - 02/05/2026 - 0 comments
Adopt a pet from the Dallas SPCA by visiting the SPCA of Texas’ Jan Rees-Jones Animal Care Center, visiting a satellite adoption center (such as PetSmart) or going to an off-site adoption event. Another option is to look through available pets on the organization's website, spca.org.
As of August 2015, the SPCA is open for potential adopters daily, from noon to 6 p.m. Individuals interested in adopting a pet must bring a valid photo ID and pay the required fee. The Dallas location has cats and dogs as well as other animals, such as horses, donkeys, goats and ducks. Adopting livestock requires a different process and application than adopting other animals.
