Is adopting a child from Korea possible?

As of 2014, it is possible to adopt a child from Korea. However, to give the child a chance to grow up in their birth country, they're exclusively available to Korean families from birth until about 6 months old.
To adopt a child from Korea, adoptive parents must be between the ages of 25 to 44 and married for a minimum of three years. Single applicants do not qualify. The adoption process is rather lengthy, averaging approximately 26 to 30 months from the time of the application to the time of the child's placement. The adoption process requires the parents travel to the country twice during the process. The first time both parents are required to go, and the second time only one parent has to go.
