Affordability, silent operation, easy installation, low maintenance, efficiency and no duct work required are benefits of a baseboard heating system. System safety, ability to blend with decor and operation that does not overly dry out the air are also advantages.

Baseboard heaters use convection to warm the air in the room by rotating cold air from the floor, warming it with an internal heat source and cycling it back through the room. They come in two types, electric and hydronic. Electric models warm the air with a series of heated fins inside the unit, while hydronic systems have an internal fluid that handles the operation more efficiently since it takes liquid longer to cool.
