What is an AI school?

Bovine artificial insemination school, or AI school, teaches students how to properly perform bovine artificial insemination on their herds. AI involves impregnating female cows artificially using frozen semen and is used to help strengthen the genetics of a herd and increase the number of cattle on a ranch.

AI school offers training in all areas of artificial insemination, including general procedures, proper handling and thawing of frozen semen and training in the anatomy of a cow's reproductive tract. Classes are generally hands-on and last for two to three days and are designed primarily for ranchers and livestock owners to help them improve their herds of cattle.
