Alan Jackson is an American country and western singer with such popular hits as "Chattahoochee" and "Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning)." Jackson was born October 17, 1958, in Newnan, Georgia.

Alan Jackson first moved to Nashville, Tennessee, to begin his singing career in 1979. His debut album, "Here in the Real World," was released in 1990 and included hits such as "Don't Rock the Jukebox." His awards include honors from the American Music Awards, Academy of Country Music Awards and Grammy Awards. Jackson has been married to his wife Denise Jackson since 1979, and they have three daughters, Alexandra, Matte and Dani.
