Alignment in computer terms refers to the alignment of text or graphics on the screen. The principal objective of alignment is to present the work in an orderly manner for easy user comprehension.
There are four ways of aligning text. Flush left alignment aligns the text along the left margin. Flush right alignment means that text is lined up along the right margin. Centered alignment arranges text around a midpoint. Finally, justified alignment implies that text aligns up along both margins. In relation to graphics, alignment describes their relative position. Several drawing programs provide options that allow aligning of two or more objects so that their sides, middles, tops and bottoms are aligned.
