What is an angel hair Christmas decoration?

Angel hairs consist of lengthy, delicately woven strands of fiberglass. With a light silvery appearance, it’s commonly used as a decoration during the Christmas season.

Although it is beautiful, angel hair can irritate the skin. Because it's made of tiny pieces of glass, it is advisable to wear protective gloves when decorating with it. Angel hair usually comes in white, but it occasionally can be found in blue. It can be draped on and around the Christmas tree to give the effect of snow-covered firs. It's also dazzling when piled against window panes or placed in mounds underneath the Christmas tree.
