What is "Angry Birds"?

"Angry Birds" is a popular paid app created by Rovio Entertainment, a computer game developer from Finland. It was originally released for Apple iOS in December 2009. Due to public demand, different versions of the game were made for other media such as touchscreen-based smartphones, video-game consoles and PCs.

The game, as its name suggests, is about angry birds, who take revenge on the pigs who stole the birds? eggs. The birds, each with specific destructive characteristics, are placed as ammunition on a giant sling. The user controls the angle of the projectile and the power exerted upon release of the birds. The app features addictive gameplay with lots of challenging physics-based destruction. It integrates the use of logic, skill and brute force as the birds infiltrate the pigs? defenses.
