Amazon Prime costs $99 per year as of September 2015. The company raised the price from $79 to $99 in March 2014. Student Prime memberships are available for $49 per year, while Amazon Prime Fresh costs $299 per year.

Amazon Prime offers benefits including free two-day shipping on eligible items, streaming video and music services, early access to sales, and access to Prime Pantry grocery shopping. Customers who have never been Prime members can sign up for a 30-day free trial of the service, while students can get a six-month free trial. Prime Fresh is available in selected cities and includes same-day grocery delivery.
