What do anoles eat?

Anoles eat live insects and other invertebrates, such as moths, spiders and crickets. Owners can sprinkle "gut load" powder over their food before giving it to them. In addition, keep in mind that the health of the crickets and other foods fed to the anoles directly affects health, so purchase well-fed crickets, moths and other insects and invertebrates.
Anoles are considered opportunistic feeders, as they consume just about anything provided that it is small enough. Most experts recommend feeding the anoles every other day. Make sure to mist the tanks at least two to three times a day, as anoles drink water droplets that hang off of the plants in their tanks.
