What is AP isolation?

By Forinfos - 20/05/2025 - 0 comments

AP isolation restricts the clients on a specific Wi-Fi network, not allowing them to communicate with other clients or devices connected to the network. These devices can only use the internet.

Depending on the brand of router, AP isolation might be called client isolation, station isolation, or wireless isolation. This is often useful in businesses that do not want clients accessing business servers or other computers. In the home, AP isolation can be an alternative to guest networks, allowing guests to use the same Wi-Fi network but without access to other devices. Routers sometimes have one, both or none of these abilities available to you.
