Some apple picking farms open to public in New Jersey include Battleview Orchards, Eastmont Orchards, Johnson's Corner Farm, Russo's Orchard Lane Farm, Hill Creek Farms and Melick's Town Farm. The season for apple picking is usually during the fall.
Most orchards that allow customers to pick their own fruit have specific dates open for picking depending on the type of fruit. For example, Battleview Orchards lists dates ranging from the end of August to early November for picking apples depending on the type of apple. Some orchards also have cider mills which produce fresh apple cider. For example, Melick's Town Farm presses cider from September to January.
