When do you apply Scott's Weed and Feed?

Scotts Turf Builder Weed & Feed should be applied in the late spring when weeds are actively growing. It should not be applied more than two times per year. The product is designed to kill dandelions and other major lawn weeds and helps build strong, deep roots in the lawn.

During the spring, basic clean-up of the lawn includes picking up sticks and other debris. It also includes aerating the lawn to deal with compaction if necessary. Feeding the lawn with a weed-and-feed product either in the early spring for cool-season grasses or the mid-spring for warm-season grasses is recommended by Scotts. The lawn can be fed again in the late spring.
