The Arizona Beverage Company was founded by John Ferolito and Don Vultaggio. When they searched for a company name, they looked at a map to find a place where the weather was hot. They originally thought of naming the company Santa Fe, but they chose Arizona instead.
The first Arizona tea was produced on May 5, 1992. As of 2014, Arizona is a privately held company located in Woodbury, N.Y., and the tea can be purchased online, bought in stores or ordered by telephone.
