Barack Obama's autobiography, "Dreams from My Father," is sold at online bookstores such as Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble and Wal-Mart; it is also available in Wal-Mart or Barnes & Noble stores. The autobiography is available at Audible as an e-book that can be downloaded onto an e-reader or computer.

On July 18, 1995, "Dreams from My Father" was published. At the time Obama began writing his book, he was serving as the first black president of the Harvard Law Review. Because the book only sold 8,000 to 9,000 copies over several years, it was discontinued. However, once Obama gained popularity in the U.S. Senate and became a candidate for President of the United States, the book was re-released.
