Lee K. Parkinson, an American painter, created works in the styles of realism, naturalism and representation. His choice of images included landscapes of the American West that often featured horses, either alone or in groups. Native American and cowboy motifs were also common in his works.
Parkinson's methodology used easel painting and acrylic and oil paints, watercolors, pen and ink, and graphite pencil.
Parkinson received an early education in the fine arts in Los Angeles, California, before eventually going on to study at the Chicago Institute of Art. He counted Milliard Sheets, a watercolorist at Universal Studios, among his influences.
