What is the average recovery time following minor eye surgery?

Every patient's recovery from minor eye surgery is different, but most patients get to go home within an hour and have normal vision return within two days, according to the Eye Institute in Auckland. Minor eye surgeries include no-stitch cataract surgery, laser-assisted cataract surgery and operations for glaucoma, pinguecula and pterygium.
As of 2015, multiple types of eye surgery are available. The number of follow-up visits depends both on the specific surgery as well as the patient's response to that operation. In some cases, multiple visits are necessary, while in others, just one trip to the doctor's office provides information that the surgery went well, notes Auckland's Eye Institute.
