What is the average salary in Pakistan?

Workers in Pakistan earn very little per year when compared to their counterparts in the developed world, and even less than in developing countries like China. For many, the wages they earn from work within the country do not cover basic expenses, and households are forced to rely on remittances sent home from family members working abroad.
