A chihuahua-pit bull mix, also called a chipit, has an average weight of 15 to 45 pounds. It is considered a small dog breed and has an average height of 12 to 18 inches.
Chipits are hybrid dogs found in the toy and terrier breed groups. They come in many different colors, including black, brown and white, gray, chocolate, salt and pepper, spotted, golden, brindle and speckled. These dogs are known to be loyal, lively pets that require frequent socialization and obedience training. Chihuahua-pit bull mixes do not fare well in colder climates and live an average of 10 to 13 years.
