How does baking soda affect candida?

No scientifically supported evidence exists that says baking soda affects candida, according to the American Cancer Society. Baking soda is conventionally used to balance pH levels in blood and does not help against yeast or fungal infections associated with candida.
The best way to treat candida is to talk to a trusted physician about diet changes and antifungal medications. The Mayo Clinic recommends a balanced diet that excludes white flour, sugar, yeast and cheese. It is prudent for individuals to maintain a healthy immune system by avoiding alcohol, smoking and drugs as well as integrating in a regular exercise routine during treatment of the candida.
