Who is the batter on the MLB logo?

Though some people have claimed to know or even be the man in the MLB logo, the reality is that the pictured figure is a complete fabrication. The Major League Baseball logo features the silhouette of an adult male holding a bat; the logo's designer, Jerry Dior, has said that the drawing was based on multiple photos and does not represent a single person.
This logo was designed and adopted during the 1960s. Professional baseball player Harmon Killebrew once claimed to be the model for this image, but Dior, the image's designer, has politely refuted this claim, instead explaining that he used a variety of images to create the design.
