The Battleship Texas State Historic Site allows self-guided tours with regular admission to the site. As of February 2015, the site is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, except for major holidays.
In addition to self-guided tours, the Battleship Texas State Historic Site offers programs like a hard-hat tour of otherwise restricted areas and an overnight experience for youth. Throughout the year there are also special events, such as a Christmas display and a Pearl Harbor remembrance. The site consists of the Battleship Texas, the San Jacinto Battleground, a marsh trail with boardwalk and a recreation area with picnic facilities.
