What is UV gel?

UV gel is applied to the nails and then dried with an ultraviolet lamp. The gel is mylar-based and cured under the light from the lamp.
Gel nails are often chosen for damaged nails or to protect nails from breakage. To apply gel nails, the nail beds are texturized, and then a primer is painted on the nails' surface. After that, the gel is applied and dried under the UV light for three minutes. This process is repeated two or three times. The nails are buffed as the final step. UV gel nails last about three weeks with good care.
