How do you become a maintenance worker?
By Forinfos - 21/02/2026 - 0 comments
There are no formal education requirements to become maintenance worker, but taking shop or technician classes during high school provides a basic foundation. The broader a person's skillset in areas such as math, drawing, blueprint reading, computer use and machine operation, the broader the maintenance job opportunities.
Training under the direction of an experienced maintenance worker is typical for someone just getting started in this career. Learning to complete an array of basic repair tasks, such as changing light bulbs, fixing doorknobs and replacing machine parts, sets the stage for thorough job performance. Licenses in areas like plumbing or electrical increase technical qualifications as well.
