Do bees have knees?
By Forinfos - 07/01/2026 - 0 comments
Bees have six segmented legs with joints; their legs are specially designed to store pollen. However, they do not have kneecaps, so they cannot be classified as having knees.
The two rear legs of bees have stiff hairs that their other legs do not have. These hairs can store an abundance of pollen and keep the pollen secure as the bees fly from one plant to another. The front pair of legs contain specialized slots that are used to clean the bees' antennas. These insects also have four wings and five eyes to help them navigate from plant to plant.
