What are some benefits of listing job accomplishments on a resume?

By Forinfos - 11/10/2025 - 0 comments

Listing job accomplishments instead of job duties on a resume shows the hiring manager the quality of the applicant's work and what the candidate brings to the table. Using accomplishments on a resume also sets the candidate apart from other job seekers.

The traditional format of listing job duties doesn't demonstrate how well the candidate does her job. The job duties might discuss making outside sales, but listing an accomplishment instead might provide specific statistics regarding sales success. The hiring manager likely already has an idea of the duties of a particular position listed on a resume. Rewriting those duties as accomplishments adds a personal touch to the resume.
